Re: Just give Sakho a payrise
Not sure that it's quite as simple as giving Sakho a pay rise

Firstly, on his day Sakho is an exceptional talent, but he was injured a lot last season

Secondly, he (alledgedly) threw a major stop with Bilic after not being picked for a game (can't remember which one now) towards the end of last season
I get the impression that not many players get away with doing that & not facing severe consequences

Thirdly, Sakho (alledgedly) seems to be suffering from a series of serious off-the-field problems

Perhaps he just needs to get away somewhere else for a fresh start?

Fourthly, I thought he had a further pay rise / new contract fairly recently?

Re: Just give Sakho a payrise
Apparently he was originally on 15k a week and signed a new deal in December 2014 pretty much doubling his wages after he'd played 25 games.

I imagine he knows full well that most PL strikers earn a lot more than 30k.

Doesn't excuse his attitude and it doesn't help that he's been quite injury prone since joining us.

I would have thought any underperforming last season was down to injuries, being played out of position, losing his place to Carroll, etc. more than just being in a sulk over money, which should inspire him to play better and earn it.

No way - shouldn't be rewarded for the way he has behaved. If he does stay at West Ham he should get his head down and earn a pay-rise.

Re: Just give Sakho a payrise
If someone is over performing than a pay rise is warranted. However rewarding underperformance with a pay rise is utter madness.

Re: Just give Sakho a payrise
Well, cornish, according to Alan's newspaper thread the other day, it said that Sakho's sulk is over money. He wants a ten grand a week pay rise.

When Alan speaks, I listen. So should you.

He refused to travel with the squad to Austria. Should freeze his wages as he has breached his contract.

But yeah give him a payrise

He played up when he was number one, the bloke is an injury prone nutbag. Good player though.

Re: Just give Sakho a payrise
He doesn't want more money he wants to be number one,if I remember rightly he has only just been given a pay rise.
